Haesun Hwang is a registered dietitian and a certified diabetes educator. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Science at California Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo. She then completed her combined dietetic internship and Master’s Science degree in Nutritional Science at Tufts University in Boston. Haesun also received specialized diabetes training from the Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston and the International Diabetes Center in Minneapolis, MN. She is currently a member of the American Academy of Diabetes Educators and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.  

 

Over the last 21 years, Haesun has worked as an inpatient dietitian serving adults, children and the neonatal population. She has also worked as a diabetes educator at Inova Diabetes Center and Sentera Potomac Hospital. She is fluent in both English and Korean.
